Amazon Prime Scam

South West Credit has received reports locally of scammers calling and impersonating staff from Amazon Prime.
If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from Amazon, do not share any personal or financial information - just hang up.
If you think there may actually be a problem with your account, contact the company using a phone number listed on their website that you know is real. Do not use a phone number the caller gave you either via phone, email or SMS.
This is a scam—Amazon does not ask customers to disclose or verify personal or account information over the phone.
If a call sounds suspicious, hang up immediately. Never give personal information over the phone unless you can independently confirm who is calling.
If you think you have been scammed, contact your financial institution immediately.
